Origin
Fish species such as European perch, pike-perch, and bream are caught with nets. As partners of the largest fish factories in Kazakhstan, we have direct access to the rich catch from Lake Balkhash, Lake Zaysan, and Kapchagay Reservoir as well as the Aral Sea.
Lake Zaysan
A freshwater lake in East Kazakhstan Region, Kazakhstan. Zaysan is the largest lake in the region. The lake is located between the Altai and Tarbagatay mountain ranges at an altitude of 386 meters. From the beginning of November to the end of April, the lake is frozen, yet still full of fish.
Lake Kapchagay
A large reservoir in the Almaty region in southeastern Kazakhstan. The 140-kilometer-long lake is formed by the dam on the Ili River that flows northwest from the mountains in the east towards Lake Balkhash. It is named after the town of Kapchagay.
Lake Balkhash
Lake Balkhash is one of the largest lakes in Asia and the 15th largest lake in the world. It is one of the southern lakes in Kazakhstan, with an area of approximately 16 900 km2. The western part of the lake has fresher water while the eastern part has salt water.
Aral Sea
The Aral Sea is a closed lake in Central Asia that lies on the territory of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. The Aral Sea was the fourth largest lake in the world until the middle of the last century, but, today, has lost more than 90% of its water volume.
